Weekly Progress Meeting 24th June 2025
George Lukaanya and Ssali Joshua repaired and deployed CO2 sensor prototypes, ensuring data transmission to the server and dashboard, restructured the Ademnea report, and are finalizing field deployment. Okema Paul added a gallery to the Ademnea website and is integrating API functionality. Tugume Keith Kaganda implemented intern profiles on local host, working to publish meeting minutes and enhance website content. Fortune Muwanguzi fixed power issues in the Nakyesase system and troubleshooted Model 1’s night vision. Asasira Arthur resolved GSM module issues and sent LoRa packets, with ongoing packet delivery challenges. Karagwa Ann Treasure improved the app’s UI and functionality, addressing API limitations. AdEMNEA WP2 Bi-Weekly Progress Update Last week, most project interns were in the field collecting bee videos and audio data. The previos week, Karagwa Ann Treasure and Ayan Mustafa advanced the mobile app with location API integration. Ssali Joshua and George Lukaanya deployed a bee-counting model to the rub pod, aiming to automate server requests. Tugume Keith Kaganda added intern profiles to the Ademnea website, with implementation ongoing on localhost. Fortune Muwanguzi troubleshooted the power management component, addressing switch and ESP 8266 issues, and plans to develop a new model and test PCBs. Asasira Arthur ensured LoRa functionality and prepared a report on its implementation. Okema Paul Mark worked on fetching gas data from the server to the dashboard.Date: July 08, 2025

Weekly Progress Update 15th July 2025
Karagwa Ann Treasure and Ayan Mustafa worked on the API and presentation of location data, including longitudes and latitudes, in the mobile app. Ssali Joshua and George Lukaanya deployed and manually tested a video analyzing script on the rub pod. Tugume Keith Kaganda created a tabular display of publications on the Ademnea website, took meeting minutes, and uploaded previous intern session records. Fortune Muwanguzi developed a power management model for Model 1, tested new PCBs with Daniel, and set up experiments. Asasira Arthur finally configured the LoRa module. Okema Paul Mark continued fetching gas data from the server to the dashboard.Date: July 15, 2025

Weekly Progress Update - 22 July 2025
Karagwa Ann Treasure and Ayan Mustafa prepared a roadmap for the mobile app, will be integrating sqflite for online and local storage, with a focus on encouraging farmers to share data via analytics. George Lukaanya worked on displaying bee counts locally with Okema, prepared data for annotation with a new disk, and completed monthly range reports awaiting deployment. Tugume Keith Kaganda updated the publication layout on localhost to resemble Google Scholar, with pending descriptions and multi-author display. Fortune Muwanguzi investigated night vision module failure at Mr. Kaddu’s Farm, fixed optical fiber and power issues, and plans retesting with improved thermal management and a 3D-printed housing. Ssali Joshua integrated gas sensor values into the website dashboard with Okema and troubleshot the Nakisase prototype in the lab. Okema Paul Mark added colored markers to the map on the website on local host using the Google Maps API. All interns are tasked with processing field-collected data for the upcoming machine learning workshop.Date: July 22, 2025
